Overview

Cellfina is an FDA-approved, minimally invasive procedure clinically proven to minimize the appearance of cellulite for at least three years.

Cellfina treats the underlying structural cause of cellulite by cutting the fibrous bands that pull down on the skin to create dimpling. Surgical Technique

Performed by a plastic surgeon in office, Cellfina typically takes 45 minutes to an hour. First, cellulite dimples are marked, and a local numbing agent is used to numb each dimple location. Then, using a tiny needle, fibrous bands under each dimple are severed. Afterward, patients can go about their day, but may want to take it easy for up to 24 hours.

After Surgery

After Cellfina, you will be dressed in a compression garment to wear home. Patients are encouraged to apply ice after 24 hours to minimize swelling and bruising. They should also avoid strenuous activity for several days after the procedure. Common side effects lasting up to a few weeks, include soreness, tenderness, and bruising.
